Men's Pennant practice was in full swing today at Port City as the Pennant season draws near for both the Women's and Men's Pennant.

The Women's pennant starts next week on the 24th and the Men's next Saturday 1st March.

Jenny Roberts (Lake Cathie) & Greg Brims (Port City) are in the final of the Australian Open in Melbourne. With 3 impressive wins - 15/14, 20/3 & 13/11 the pair will meet C. Millerick & S. DeJongh in the mixed pairs final.

The annual Dooker-Eggert inter district competition between the Men's Lower North Coast and the Manning Districts will be held at Port Panthers on Sunday 23 March.

The 2014 Australian Open starts today in Melbourne with an impressive list of top bowlers who have qualified in the preliminary rounds. Click here for the Bowls Australia web site and follow the links for full details. This event will not be covered on TV but live screening on your computer will be available on Thursday the 20th Feb. It should make interesting viewing.
Social Bowls was played on Tuesday 11th
February, as well as District Pairs. The Final of the District Pairs will be
played on Thursday 13th February at Westport.
Congratulations to Margaret Doyle for
reaching the Finals of the District Singles held on Thursday 6th February and
being Runner-up to Jenny Roberts from Lake Cathie.
The LNC District Bowls Coordinator, Kevin Williams, has done an excellent job of producing a comprehensive calendar for this year's bowls activities in our Zone plus State and National events.
Social Bowls was
played on Tuesday 4th February, as well as the commencement of the State
Singles. The Final will be played on Thursday 6th February at North
Haven.
