It is with great sadness that President Barbara
announced the sudden death of Margaret Willis this week, who had been a
longtime member of our club. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and
friends at this time.
Congratulations to Betty and Ray Hodgson who have
celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Also, congratulations to Dulcie and Rex Holihan,
who celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary 26th February.
Congratulations to Jennifer Munson and Pat Light who
won the Hastings Haven District Final Pairs on Thursday 21st February.
Social Bowls were played today, in spite of all the
rain we have experienced recently. Some pennant games had to be postponed
because of the conditions.

2nd - Beth Schubert, Barbara Barrett and Dawn
Olsen. Consolation - Shirley Devine, Gwen Hollis and Marion Miller.
Raffle Winners - 1st, Jenny Wallis, 2nd Margaret
Edwards.
As the men are starting their Pennants next
Saturday, 2nd March, there will be no more Jackpot Pairs on Saturday afternoons
until after the Pennants have finished.
The next Umpires' Discussion Group Meeting will be
held on Monday 11th March at Lake Cathie Bowling Club commencing at 9.30 am.
All are welcome, particularly those interested in learning more about the laws
of our sport.
There will be the usual Ladies Social Bowls on
Saturday morning at 9.30 am and, as usual, regulation uniform is required.
