Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report



Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 3rd February.

Wednesday pm :- 86 Bowlers played with the day’s winners :- $15  Don Ramsay & Fred Mulligan ; $10 Dave Seaton & Karl Woischwell.
Thursday am :- Day winners. Nola Williams, Carmel Daniels & Norma Schwartz.

Thursday pm :- 88 bowlers played with the day’s winners. $15 Keith Ison & Terry Schollum. $10 AJ.Uptin & Chris Thornton . George Moss picked number 1 instead of number 2 & did not  win the $600 jackpot. Next week The jackpot will be $600.

Friday pm :- 94 Bowlers with the day’s winners being :- $15 Peter Gilligan & Danny McAuliffe,  $10 Ian Handley & Brian Crutcher.  The Jackpot of $600 was won by Terry Schollum & Bob Counsell Next weeks jackpot $600.

Saturday am  :-  Ladies Winners, Gwen Hollis, Robyn Kean. Evelyn Ramsey & Carol White.

Saturday pm: Open Jackpot Pairs :- Winners, C.Halls & Keith Hall, Mick Hayes & Ron Thompson, Robyn Hehir & Keith Dalton, Jackpot not won.

Sunday am :- Mens Singles Championships, Bob Langham def. Tony Newell, Keith Hall def. Col Halls, John Breen def. Keith Scotney and Andy Pascoe def. Eric Durrant.

More singles matches will be played next Saturday morning at 9-00 am & afternoon at 1-00 pm please check the notice board to see when you are playing. It is the responsibility of the first named player to arrange a marker for your match. Men’s Club Fours Championships will continue on Sunday morning at 9-00 am.

On Tuesday 26th February at 6-00pm a pennant dinner will be held for all pennant players, managers, umpires and supporters with local legend Olympic Gold Medalist Ryley Batt attending to share his accomplishments. This will be a free night for all the men members, so make sure you put your name down on the sheet provided, to assist us in catering.

A reminder that in all club championships all players must be dressed in the same attire as per the clubs by-laws.

Don’t forget the Friday Night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5. free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of Meat Trays Tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm
