Port City Men's Pennant Dinner

The Port City Men's Bowling Club held a pre-pennant dinner on Tuesday night enjoyed by many players, managers and support members. 

After a warm welcome by President Paul Brady and updates on selection, conditions of play and coaching by Charlie Buchanan & Bryce Stewart the highlight of the evening was an inspirational talk by Ryley Batt winner of an Olympic gold medal in wheelchair rugby.

Bowls at Port City


The Port City bowls office has advised that all bowls, morning & afternoon, have been cancelled for today Saturday 23 February.

Club championships scheduled for this morning (club 4's) and the singles matches carded for Sunday morning will be played tomorrow morning, Sunday, weather permitting.

The final of the District fours has been postponed to a date to be advised.

Easter Bowls at Port City


The Easter long weekend is a little over a month away - Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April. Entries are open for the Port City Ladies and Men's tournaments as follows.

The LNC District Fours Championships continued today at Port City with the quarter and semi finals completed.

LNC District 4's at Port City


We had some heavy showers today in Port Macquarie this morning but the skies cleared and rounds 1 & 2 of the LNC District Fours were completed at Port City.

District Triples (update Sunday am) It was an all Kempsey Heights final with Peter Taylor (skip), Alan Wares & Terry Burley defeating Matt Sargeant (skip), Scott Franklin and Greg Powick. Good bowling to the winners in the Zone final. Thanks to Alex Kair for the results.

Taylor & Sargeant Through to District Triples Final


The semi finals of the LNC District State Triples were completed today at South West Rocks with two Kempsey Heights teams through to compete in the final next week end. 

Terry Burley, Alan Wares & Peter Taylor (Kempsey Heights) will play Greg Powick, Scott Franklin & Matt Sargeant (Kempsey Heights) in the final.

Port City Men's Pennant Players Dinner


The Port City Men's Bowling Club are holding a Pennant Players Dinner on Tuesday 26 February starting at 6:00 pm in the Club rooms. This is a free night with a special guest Ryley Batt, a 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist.

To help with catering for this night please post your name on the list on the notice board in the club or call the bowls office on 6533 -1153.

The first 2 rounds of the LNC District State Triples Championships were played today at South West Rocks with the following progressing to the quarter finals tomorrow morning:

Entries Now Open for Corporate Bowls



Entries are now open for season 8 of the Barefoot Bowls Corporate Challenge for Charity at Port City.

Play commences on Wednesday 20 February and continues weekly to Wednesday 27 March starting at 5:45 pm. 

A great time for all on the greens as well as supporting a good charity.
