Port City WBC Weekly News 15th November

President Barbara presided and was very pleased to see so many at bowls on such a lovely day. She welcomed Kay Bain back to bowls and also the non-playing members who had joined us for morning tea.

President Barbara announced an Under 7 Years Triples Carnival to be held at Coff's Harbour Ex-Services Club on Monday 11th February, 2013.

Next week the boxes will be put out at the Club for us to place food items in for the Salvation Army. It can be tinned, or packet food, but it doesn't need to be wrapped. Also, wrapped presents suitable for children can be left at the Club, with the appropriate labelling for boy or girl and the age suitable for each present, adults male or female.

Tuesday 20th November will be the Port City Gala Day and the cost will be $12, lunch included. These days are always great fun and the money raised will be used for District to pay the accommodation and travelling expenses for our representatives at State Events.

Home made cakes, slices, etc and other items such as plants, would be most welcome for the Trading Table.

Members wishing to have Friday morning 10.00 am coaching need to contact Shirley Devine so that she will know how many will turn up.

Encouragement Day is on Monday 26th November.

The Quarterly Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 27th November, after bowls

Presentations Day is on Tuesday 4th December and Christmas Party Day is on Tuesday 11th December.

Don't forget names in or out before 8.00 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for Social Bowls and Good Bowling.
