Social Bowls were played at 9.30 am. on Tuesday 30th October.

Vice-President Carol Bowman stood in for President Barbara who is away on holidays.
Lucky Rink Winners were - 1st Marlene White, Helen Cooper and Norma Schwartz.
2nd - Megan Hobson, Pat Morrison and Robyn Biddle
Consolation - Margaret Willis, Dolor Hodge and Adriana Cutler.
Raffle Winners - 1st - Elaine Hercus, 2nd - Robyn Biddle
50's Club Winners - 1st Dawn Olsen, 2nd - Dulcie Holihan, 3rd Maureen Orsulich

The Semi-Finals of the Consistency Singles were also played and both games were very close.

Debbie Amor def. Elaine Eames and Lorraine Cannon def Jenny Wallis. The finals will be played on Thursday 1st November, 2012.

The Hastings Haven District v Macleay District Tournament was held at Port City on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October and the Hastings Haven District retained the trophy for this year.

Melbourne Cup Day is on 6th November. The event is Mixed Triples. There will be the usual fun day starting at 9.30 am. There will be champagne served on the green. Dress can be mufti or uniform. There will be prize money totalling $600. The Fashion Parade will feature Noni B and Lowes Menswear.

Entry Form and fee of $48 per team to be handed in to the Change Box. There will be a two course meal provided and champagne and orange juice. Single entries will be accepted. Anyone who wishes to come for lunch only will be welcome and the cost will be $16 per person. Entries close on Friday 2nd November.

On Saturday 3rd November there will be a Barefoot Bowls Game to help raise money for a Community Walkway at the Base Hospital. The cost is $15/head and this will include a Sausage Sizzle. There will be approximately $3,000 in prize money. This event will replace the usual Saturday pm game of Open Mixed Pairs.

Kew Encouragement Day for Under Five Years Bowling will be held on Monday 12th November, 2012 and they are looking for more players.

Also, Port City Encouragement Day for Under Six Years Bowling will be held on Monday 26th November, 2012. Entries close on Tuesday, 3th November.

The Members only Mixed Fours Event will be held on Saturday 8th December. Dress will be club uniform and the game will consist of 3 x 12 ends. You will need to provide your own lunch but there will be over $4000 in prize money. Single entries only.
