In Wednesday Social Bowls the winners were Adrian Hilton, Neil Dark and Rod Quirk. The Runners Up were Steve Hall, Reggie Robb and Wayne Thrussell. Voucher winners were Brett Irwin, Denis Squires, Peter Griffith and Chicka Thompson. The “walk of shame” saw Mick Ashford, a crowd favourite, doing a lap of honour for a wrong bias.

In the Friday Jackpot Triples, the jackpot was not won, and is now worth $642. The rink winners were Rod Fokes, Ian Poole and Barrie Isaac. The Runners Up were Kim Thompson, Rod Quirk and Dave Napper. Voucher winners were Denis Squires, John Smith, Wayne Thrussell and Rod Fokes. Todays “Walk of Shame” was awarded to Adrian Hilton, whose bowls seemed affected by his locks being cut.

Round 8 of Open Pennants once again saw close games, with Grade 6 getting up by one shot against Lake Cathie, while Grade 7 went down by 2 shots against Comboyne. Grade 4 had a bye. The full results were:
- Grade 6 Kew def. Lake Cathie Kew 60-59, 8 points to Kew

The Final of the Club Championship Triples was won by A.Richards/R.Fokes/R.Quirk against D.Jones/I.Poole/D.Napper, with the final score being 23-16. After 16 ends, the score was 11-6 to Jones/Poole/Napper with 16 single shots ends. Finally, Quirky led his team to grab a few ends with scores of 3/3/4, which got them over the finishing line. Congratulations to all, for a great game where everyone played great bowls.
