The rain affected Quarter Finals of the Club Championship Triples was played mid week, the results being:
- P Laing/D Napper/I Poole def. A Hilton/V Gunter/R Allan 30-10
- A Richards/R Fokes/R Quirk def. N Bull/S Mantell/J Keirghy 25-17
- K Collins/W Barnes/P Bristow def. D Barr/B Isaac/P Collins 25-20
- D Squires/I Hodgkinson/M Hammond def. F Raczka/B Irwin/R Davis 25-21
The standard of play was again fantastic, with some excellent bowls being played. The sportsmanship amongst all players was also of the highest standard, so well done to everyone.
The Semi Final was played on Sunday, with the results being:
- D Jones/D Napper/I Poole def D Squires/I Hodgkinson/M Hammond 28-16
- A Richards/R Fokes/R Quirk def. K Collins/W Barnes/P Bristow 24-19
The semis were a closely fought contest, which sets things up for a great final between Team Quirk and Team Poole.
Friday Seniors Day was played with 40 members and guests having a wonderful afternoon. Dean/KCC put on a High Tea, as well as providing $10 vouchers to the winners of four teams.
The Club Championship Fours are now open for entry, with the first round commencing on 14 April 2024. The Entry Sheet is on the Notice Board in the Club House.
Quote of the Week Paddy Bristow was heard to say “Ya might have to get a wheel alignment on those bowls”, as a wobbly bowl approached the head
