Weekly Newsletter - 10th March, 2024

Wednesday Social Bowls saw Adrian Hilton, Neil dark and Peter Laing take out first place. Runners Up were Rob Tucker, Jeff Dixon and Mick Ashford. Voucher Winners were Bruce Gornall, Ray Pantlin, Steve McGregor and John Hilton.

In the Friday Jackpot Triples, the half jackpot was won by Stewart Rogan, Brett Irwin and Rick Griffiths. Voucher winners were Peter Laing, Dee Squires, Mick Ashford and Brett Irwin.

In Round 5 of Open Pennants the Kew lads had a number of key players out, so it was always going to be a tough round. The results were:

- Grade 4 Port City def. Kew v. 67-53, 1 point to Kew
- Grade 6 Port City def. Kew 73-42, 1 point to Kew
- Grade 7 North Haven def. Kew 77-54, 1 point to Kew

In the continuation of Grade 4, Round 4 game, Kew def. Lake Cathie 71-42, claiming all 10 points.

Club Championship Triples will return next Sunday.

There are no Pennants Games next week, so the Cashpot will be played on SATURDAY. Saturday Cashpot returns to Saturday .

Bowls this week are Wednesday Social starting at 12:30 (names in by 11:30), and Saturday Cashpot Triples, names in by 11.30 for a 12.30 start mufti dress. Add you name to the sheets in the Club Room, or contact Chicka 0423787325, Griffo 0413052684 or text Frank 0417698899.
