Wednesday Social Bowls
saw Adrian Hilton, Bob Simms and Rocky Davis scoot out the door with first prize. Runners Up were Peter Mauger, Frank Raczka and Wayne Thrussell. The voucher winners were Trevor Boyle, Steve “Raffles” McGregor, Buttsy Butler and Darren Darcy.

In the Friday Jackpot Triples, the jackpot wasn’t won, so Treasurer Tony put the big envelop back in the drawer. In a bizarre turn of events, the winning rink was made up of two teams who drew their game, so the winning prize was split between six players: Dave (Waggy) Wagstaff, Bob Carr, Jeff (Coyote) Wylie, Bill O’Donnell, Jean Donald and Terry Duff. The Runners Up were Peter Mauger, Adrian Meredith and Bob Kennett. The game on Rink 3, saw Andrew attempt to claim a 7 shot end, but even his measure couldn’t manipulate things that much, to Jeff Dixon’s delight. ”Raffles” McGregor made it two raffle wins in a week, with Jeff Wylie, Adrian Meredith and Andrew Richards also claiming vouchers.

The Men's Club Championship Pairs Final was played and won by Gary Hamilton and Charles Doyle over Terry Miles and Mark Hammond. The winners, Gary and Charles, got off to a quick start and held their margin throughout the game. The second half of the game saw some cracking bowls played by all players, but the lead was too big to catch for Terry and Mark, who went down fighting. Well done guys for a game played in great spirit… Reporting by Wayne Thrussell.

The Men's Club Singles Championship starts on 8th of October. Get your entry in by 27th September to avoid disappointment. Don’t be shy as this will test your skill and could give you bragging rights against mates.

Please Note. All Club Championship Games are governed by “Conditions of Play”, which are published on our Notice Board. Full Current Club Uniform must be worn, including the current (blue) club shirt, royal blue shorts/pants and certified foot wear. Please show some pride in the club and wear the proper uniform for these events. The Match Committee have made it clear that these conditions must be met.
