Lake Cathie Women's Bowling Club

Hello Ladies,

A mixed week of bowls, with luck on our side on Tuesday but no such luck on Friday and Saturday. The quarter-finals of the Consistency Singles had to be postponed a day and were successfully played on Saturday, whilst Social Bowls cancelled due to the inclement weather.

Social Bowls

Lucky Rink Winners were Susan Malzard, Louise Matthews and Dorothy Lynch and Runners Up were Lyn Thompson, Jean West and Phyllis Stewart.

Consistency Singles

The Quarter Finals of the Consistency Singles were played on Saturday 22 October 2022, under adverse weather conditions. These games were rescheduled from Friday due to closure of the greens. The persistence of the players to complete these games must be commended. The results are shown below:

1.Wendy Byers (Winner) and Anne Wilson (Runner Up)
2.Di Fischer (Winner) and Jean West (Runner Up)
3.Fiona Brassey (Winner) and Ann Butlin (Runner Up)
4.Jenny Roberts (Winner) and Runner Up (Helen Millard)

The Semi Finals to be Played on Friday 25 October 2022 are:
1.Wendy Byers plays Di Fischer
2.Fiona Brassey plays Jenny Roberts

Please note that I reported some "fake news" in my last report advising that Marilyn Dewson had won her game against Helen Millard. In fact it was the other way round...sorry ladies.
