News from Kew - MBC

The news report from the Kew Men's BC for the week ending Sunday the 16th of May, 2021 is now available.

Kew Men's Bowling Club

The pennants are finished for the season and the 7s led by Doreen and Elliott were the best performed team who finished 2nd in their group, the 2s and the 5s struggled a bit with players dropping out but next year is another ball game we will do better.

Notice to all Bowling Club members, there will be a special General meeting on Wednesday the 19th of May about the unification of men and women’s bowls. This will be an information session followed by the required vote the committee has also agreed to 2 free beers and finger food after the meeting.

Wednesday social and picking up the cash were P Richards, Ian Hodgkinson and Dave Jones, in the runner up spot John Smith, Pat O’Connor and Reggie Robb. Voucher winners were John Gemmell, Jim Hopcroft, John Ockers and Barrie Isaac.

Friday jackpot triples and we have 3 very happy fella’s who won the jackpot Jeff Wylie, Jeff Dixon and Stewart Rogan well done lads. Voucher winners were Jeff Wylie, Jeff Dixon, Charles Doyle and Bob the hand breaker Kennett.

Wednesday social and Friday jackpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.

Saturday the 29th of May there will be a post pennant get together, this is a combined afternoon with the ladies, there will be cash pot bowls then some nibbles and a couple of beers then on Friday the 4th of June jackpot triples.

Sunday the 6th of June the travelling bowlers are off for a visit to Tuncurry Sports.

Monday the 7th of June our Monday monthly pairs grab a mate head out to the friendly club for a great day on the greens uniform dress is required men, women or mixed everyone is welcome.
