The Westport Women's Bowling Club are holding the Dolphin Mixed Pairs Carnival today Saturday the 29th May - Sunday the 30th May, 2021.

With $5,000 total prize money there was a good turnout under some wintry weather conditions.

The following are some results as advised by Kaye Stengel from the Women's Regional Pennant Final today Wednesday the 26th May, 2021 at Taree.

"These are the results of today's games –

No 1s – Port City won – played Foster
No 2s – Port City lost – played Tuncurry
No 3s – Wauchope lost -played Foster/Tuncurry
No 4s – Kew won – played Taree Leagues

The playoff will be held on 19th -23rd September 2021 in the Kingscliff / Pottsville/ Cabarita area

Round 10 of the Zone 14 Men's Pennant was played today Saturday the 15th of May, 2021. Play at Port City included teams from Stuarts Point, Kempsey MacLeay RSL and Comboyne under ideal weather conditions.

Hasting Haven Women's Pennant

The Hastings Haven District Women's Bowling Association pennant results have been updated effective Monday the 10th May, 2021.

The playoff between Kew and Westport in Grade 4 was not required - as per the Conditions of Play, tied results must be calculated in shots for and against. Kew won with 29 shots to Westport 25.

Region Pennant to be played at Taree Leagues on 26th May.

Daphne Shaw Opens New Green at North Haven

 

"North Haven lawn bowls living legend and Commonwealth Games champion Daphne Shaw has opened a new bowling green in North Haven.

The 1990 gold medalist officially bowled the first shot at the Daphne Shaw green at North Haven Club on May 5, after it was resurfaced at a cost of $200,000."

The HH District Singles commence on Tuesday 11th May with Round 1 at Lake Cathie, Wednesday 12th May, Round 2 at Westport and the final on Thursday 13th May at North Haven.

The District Mixed Pairs are set down at Port City on Sunday 23rd May with the final being held at Port City on 6th June.
