Winners of the Club Fours. Congratulations
The final of the club fours was played on Sunday morning in what was a very good game of bowls alas there could only be one winner and that was the reverse of last year, Gary Ruprecht, Rob Edwards, Greg Darcy and Rocky Davis def Gary Cheers, Paul Cini, Gary Hamilton and Peter Griffith. Congratulations to both teams on making the final.
Once again, the sevens are the team in the pennants, with a 10/0 win at Port City the 5s were well beaten 10 nil and the 2s going down 9/1. Next week the 2s and 5s are at home with the 7s away to Kempsey.
Monday monthly pairs and in 1st place were Gary Cheers and Chicka Thompson, 2nd Daryle Hare and Chris Ballum, 3rd Frank Raczka and Cliff Kerr and 4th Kim Thompson and Stewart Wellard. Round winners Budgie Brecard and Greg Darcy, Rob Edwards and Jessie Ciampa, and Kylie Hardy and Phil Baker.
There is an entry sheet on the board for the major singles entries close on the 30th of April.
Wednesday afternoon there was 4 games in the club major pairs Terry Stringer and Warren Barnes def Chicka Thompson and Paul Cini, Terry Miles and Rob Edwards def Daryle Barr and Wayne Thrussell, Howard Burrows and Rocky Davis def Viv Gunter and Jeff Nichols and Peter Griffith and Mick Stuttard def Leslie Faulstone and Reggie Robb.
Wednesday social and picking up the cash were Terry Stringer and Warren Barnes, in the runner up spot were Leslie Faulstone and Reggie Robb. Voucher winners were Viv Gunter, Adrian Hilton, Mr S Wellard, Charlie Merendes, Jock Wyper and Howard Burrows.
Friday jackpot triples and two teams headed home with the jackpot Gary Ruprecht, Jeff Wylie and Barrie Isaac along with John Hilton, Steve McGregor and Mick Ashford well done lads. Voucher winners were Brian Kirkwood, Cliff Kerr, Phil Collins and Warren Barnes.
Two more games were played in the major pairs Dave Napper and Ian Poole def Stewart Rogan and Jeff Dixon and Brian Charters and Phil Collins def Gary Hamilton and Charles Doyle.
