Margaret Watts Receives Life Membership

Kew Women’s Bowls Club

It was with great pleasure that our president Doreen Barr presented Margaret Watts Life Membership in recognition of all her achievements dedication and service to our club. Margaret is one of a few foundation active members of our club having joined in 1985 and elected as the foundation vice-president. Margaret has been a hard-working and dedicated member of our club 36 years and is always very considerate and encouraging to Club members. Her extent of contributions has been enormous. A well deserved Life Membership.

It was lovely do have great weather without rain interrupting our game this week. Club Major Singles Championship results thus far:- Kim Thompson defeated Esther Bailey, Noelene Holt defeated Vel Hartis, Maree Cini defeated Anne Smith, Leonie Murphy defeated Jean Donald and Jenny Wellard defeated Margaret Ashford.

Please remember to check the noticeboard for further draws/dates, rosters and upcoming events.

Good luck to our Pennant team for 2021 season. We hope you all enjoy the competition and good bowling.

As Easter is looming, it would be appreciated if you could bring in chocolate eggs and bunnies etc to be made into prizes for our Easter raffle. An Easter Fun Day is planned for 30th March, with prize money, raffles and a luncheon.
