Lake Cathie Women’s Bowling Club

Report 8th December 2019

Wow, what a year we have had, so much has taken place, but we have survived and let’s look forward to the new year and what it brings us.

I hope Christmas and the New year bring you love, health and happiness, and that we all stay safe with these continuing fires.

Don’t forget it’s our Christmas lunch on Tuesday so get those festive clothes out and have a great day. Please put your key in if you would like a game before our lunch.

Don’t forget to check the club Facebook page and invite your friends to it, it’s a great way to keep up to date with club events especially over the Christmas break.

Now for some results I have saved up. On Saturday 9th November 2019 the lucky rink winners were J Wilson and D Fischer and the runners up were M Avery and M Simmonds.
Saturday 16th November the lucky rink winners were R Hancox who also was the swinging lead D Fischer and J Blackler and the runners up were R Hancox, K Campbell and J West.

Saturday the 23rd November 2019 saw the winners of D Fischer and J Blackler and the runners up were P Tye, V Hamilton and J Howard.
Then on Tuesday 26th November the lucky rink winners were P Tye/L Fuller, L Moore and Y Howard and the runners up were J Tucker, O Hulland and J Blackler.

Tuesday the 3rd December 2019 saw J Howard, W Sharples, P Monaghan and P Murphy as the lucky rink winners and the runners up were J Tucker, L Mathews, J Dewson and H Millard and last but not least, on Saturday 7th December 2019 saw J Tucker, W Sharples, P Murphy and P Monaghan as the rink winners and J Wilson, D Fischer and J Blackler as the runners up.

Finally, we got to play the Out Of The Hat Triples a couple of weeks late due to the smoke and fires around and the winners of the day were Hazel Durrant, Wendy Sharples and Pat Monaghan, congratulation ladies.

Well, I think that’s enough for the end of the year as next weeks will be just break up highlights and I won’t start writing again till January so please be safe on the road if you or your family are travelling and have a great Christmas and New Year and see you all back bright and fresh in the New Year.

To all who are not well or recovering we send you our very best wishes and hope to see you all in the New Year.

Thanks Liz x x x
