As this is last lot of news for the year on behalf of President Barrie and the committee, we wish everyone a merry Christmas and the best of health for 2020. Cheers beers and reindeers everyone.
The final of the mixed pairs was played on Saturday morning Kim and Chicka Thompson did battle with Leonie Murphy and Dean Gemmell, Dean and Leonie got away to a good start but Kim and Chicka kept plugging away and got the nod on the last end winning 22/20. Congratulations to both teams on making the final.
What a great night it was the band made up of men’s bowlers was fantastic, Santa made an appearance, the food was excellent and everyone had a great night thanks to Barrie and his hard-working committee. Well to all who made it a special night. Dick Davies who never wins anything got lucky and won a bag of chips good on you Dick it’s been a while since you won any bl---y anything.
Friday’s jackpot is still in the bank but the runner up prize of $150 went to three lucky chaps Frank Raczka, Stewart Rogan and Jeff Dixon headed straight to the bar to celebrate their win we thought they shout but only came back with 3 glasses of water ha ha. Voucher winners were Paris Hilton, Peter Laing, John Gemmell and Gary the machine Hamilton.
Wednesday social and heading to the bar with their moola was John Hilton, Daryle Barr and Bill Bailey, in the runner up slot was Bob Sims and Barrie Isaac. Voucher winners were Dave Napper, Warren Bates, Rod Sutton and Gary the machine Hamilton.
Monday monthly pairs will be on, on the 6th of January this is an open event to men, women or mixed grab a mate and have a great day at the friendly club.
Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
