EXCITING EVENT TO BE HOSTED BY PORT CITY WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

On Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September 2019, Port City Women’s Bowling Club will host its “Turnaround Triples for Four” competition for a second year.

The format of this competition involves teams allocating their players a number. According to that number, players will then play eight games of eight ends of three bowl triples over the two days of the competition with each player having a turn at playing lead, second, skip and sitting out one game each day. This “turnaround” aspect tends to level the playing field and provides for an interesting, exciting and unusual competition.

The event will be run over the two days at a cost of $160 per each team of four. This cost includes lunch each day and the event offers a first prize of $800 per team, second prize of $600 per team and third prize of $400 per team.

The inaugural Turnaround Triples for Four held in September 2018 at Port City Bowls Club attracted a field of 20 teams who enjoyed the unusual format. Port City Women’s Bowling Club hopes to host an even bigger event in 2019!

If you are interested in attending this event, entry forms can be obtained by contacting the PCWBC Carnival Coordinator Kim Stewart by email to kimbostewart@hotmail.com Entries close on Monday 9 September or when the maximum number of teams has been reached. (Click here for the tournament flyer)
