Following is a news release from Kim Stewart, Port City WBC Carnival Coordinator covering an upcoming Women's bowls tournament.
"EXCITING EVENT TO BE HOSTED BY PORT CITY WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB
On Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September 2019, Port City Women’s Bowling Club will host its “Turnaround Triples for Four” competition for a second year.
The event will be run over the two days at a cost of $160 per each team of four. This cost includes lunch each day and the event offers a first prize of $800 per team, second prize of $600 per team and third prize of $400 per team.
If you are interested in attending this event, entry forms can be obtained by contacting the PCWBC Carnival Coordinator Kim Stewart by email to: kimbostewart@hotmail.com Entries close on Monday 9 September or when the maximum number of teams has been reached."

The 2019 Men's NSW State Pennant Finals were completed today, Sunday 28th July. The weather was excellent for all 3 days of play at Port Macquarie. It was great to see the support for the teams and the atmosphere during all days of the finals. Some additional photos from the grade 4 final at Port City are included in the playoff album. The NSW Men's Pennant finals in grade 4 commenced today, Friday 26 July, 2019 at Port City & Westport Bowling Clubs in Port Macquarie. The weather was kind with a warm sun in the morning but a cooler temp. in the afternoon with some clouds. View some photos here from both clubs of the sectional play today. Play continues tomorrow with the 3rd sectional game and the quarter finals at both clubs. This will be followed with the semi final and final at Port City on Sunday. The 2019 Men's State Pennant finals will be held this weekend from Friday 26th - Sunday 28th July. The "Grand Finals" for state bowls will be held at various clubs throughout the state and I would suggest anyone interested in bowls attend these games to experience the atmosphere that only these finals present. The Jax Tyres Prestige Pairs tournament was successfully completed today, Friday 19th July, at Port City.
