CONGRATULATIONS

To our Club Triples Champions

Lynne Thompson, Margaret Doyle and Faye Schollum
Congratulations also to the Runners up – Beth Schubert, Janine Stockham and Lois Bishell.

 Out of Hat Triples

The “Out of Hat Triples” event which was held on 1st July was a great success, with some very good scores being recorded. Congratulations to the overall winners Robyn Hehir, Robyn Biddle and Eleanore Russell. Runners-Up were Judy Brady, Denise Gudgeon and Helen Carr. Well done ladies.

Champion of Club Champion Pairs was held 30th June to 3rd July at Warilla. This is always a very difficult event and despite very cold conditions we congratulate Lynne Thompson and Carol White for winning their first two games.

Our next Quarterly Meeting will be held 12th August.

It was great to see so many nominations for committee this year and we wish you much success.

Also, a big thanks to all our hard working committee members who have retired.

Minor Pairs entries will close 5th August at 11.00 am, so if you wish to play please be sure to put in an entry before going out on to the greens.

The State Pennant Play-off will be held 25th to 29th August at Raymond Terrace. A big thank you to the Board for providing a bus to take the players and spectators.

Daffodil Day this year will be on 22nd August, so please look out for Robyn Biddle and helpers outside the National Bank from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.

The ladies will also be holding Daffodil Day at the club on 2nd September and as we are having a Trading Table we would appreciate donations of cakes, slices, plants and bric-a-brac. All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Council.

Handicap Triples will be held 9th September. Names and handicaps will be on the board.

Non playing member’s morning tea

We look forward to welcoming our non bowlers to morning tea on 12th, last month some of the ladies who attended were Marianne Smith, Veronica Davey, Muriel Whitbourne, Beryl Young and Gwen Turner.

Thank you
As this will be my last Newsletter, I would like to thank all the ladies who have encouraged me over the last two years.

It has been a big learning curve and I have enjoyed the challenge.

Thanks to Barbara Owens for this report
