Port City WBC Weekly News 11th July

  

On Tuesday 9^th July we had great weather for social bowls and the 2^nd round of the Club Triples.

We welcomed our non-playing members to morning tea and some of the ladies joining us were Beryl Young, Rosemary Aylett, Gwen Turner, Muriel Whitbourne, Veronica Davey, Marianne Smith, Irene Turner and Val Grambau.

Three ladies are celebrating birthdays during the week – Beth Schubert, Brenda Burge and Eveline Ramsay.

Our Welfare Officer advised that Nancy Kennedy is slowly recovering. We wish any of our members who are unwell a speedy recovery and a return to bowls very soon.
A reminder that the Port City AGM will be held at the club on Monday 15^th July at 9.00am.  We encourage all ladies to attend.

Major/Minor Pairs will commence next Tuesday 16^th July.

Westport will hold their Gala Day on Thursday 25^th July and the sheet is on the noticeboard for entries.

We still need entries for the Coca Cola Triples Carnival to be played on Monday 26^th and Tuesday 27^th August.

Congratulations to Carol White who will be playing in the Champion of Club Champion Singles to be held at Oak Flats from Monday 15^th to Thursday 18^th July and we all wish her the best of luck.

The Handicap Triples will be played on Tuesday 25^th July.
Next Quarterly Meeting will be on Tuesday 6^th August.
