Australian Unity Men's Prestige Pairs - Day 1

Someone forgot to pull the plug on this green!

The 2012 Australian Unity $5,300 Men's Prestige Pairs commenced today at Port City BC with the weather doing it's best to disrupt the program for the day.

Play was delayed until noon after the downpour early this morning and it was decided to adjust the program to 2 games of 15 ends. Play got underway but heavy rain flooded the greens during the 1st game.

Play continued after the greens drained and the 1st game only was completed today. It was a credit to the greenkeepers that the greens were suitable for play after the flooding. Play continues tomorrow (Thursday) with 3 games of 15 ends scheduled for the day.

Thanks for the comment regarding teams 20 & 31 in the first game - well done in picking the error! Team 20 (Barry Isaac) won and team 31 (John Hrabuk) lost. Correction will be posted with today's results.

Thanks again.

Thanks G.C. for your comment on the photo. Thanks as well to John Faddy who suggested I take a shot of greens when they were flooded.

Cheers, Smitty
