Port City WBC News 7th June

 

Last week we were very proud to host the 2012 State Carnival, with teams coming from as far away as West Australia, Victoria and Queensland.  The weather wasn’t very kind to us but everyone had a great time especially the winning team from Warilla. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the very bad weather conditions. Next year the carnival will be held in the Bomaderry area.

For the past couple of years our Out-of-Hat Triples has been cancelled because of the weather, but this year things changed and we were very lucky to have a rain free day for the event.

Congratulations to Barbara Barrett, Carol White & Judy Brady in being successful in the Regional State Triples Play-off which was played on Tuesday at South West Rocks. Good luck when they go to Tuncurry in October for the State Play off.

Next Tuesday is our President’s Day with morning tea being at 9.00am and for the Lunch only ladies approximately 12.30pm. There is a sheet on the notice board for you to put your names on if you want to play or for lunch only.

Entry to the club triples is now open and closes on 19^th June with play to take place on 3^rd July, so get your teams in.
