Wednesday Social Bowls saw Chicka Thompson, Ian Orr and Barrie Isaac getting the winners envelops. Runners Up were Tich Bergin, Ray Allan and Rod Quirk. After a three week absence, Steve McGregor’s ticket was the first drawn from the barrel, followed by Mick Ashford, Griffo and Ian Hodgkinson. In an odd moment, Gary “the machine” Hamilton put down a rare wrong bias, which brought yells of delight from spectators. You couldn't miss Mick Ashford’s smile as he collected the coin from Gary.

In Men's Division 4 Pennants Kew Red drove north to play Sawtell. Unfortunately, the Reds lost the Master Board 45-34, so will need a good result when playing Sawtell at home. Next Thursday see Kew Blues playing Kew Reds, 11:30 start.

In the Saturday Cashpot Triples Greg Darcy, Jeff Dixon and Rod Quirk put in a might performance to grab the winners spot. Gary Hamilton, Howard Burrows and Paul Cini claimed second spot, while Wayne Thrussell, Stewart Rogan and Ian Hodgkinson came third. Voucher winners were Doreen Barr, Peter Griffith, Ron Wheeldon and Ian Orr.

The first round of Club Pairs is played on Sunday. Check the notice board for the results. A full report will be included in next weeks Newsletter.

This week, Jonesy was suffering from a sore foot so he thought he’d wear a thong, but the umpire made him put his pants back on.

Bowls this week are Wednesday Social and Friday Jackpot Triples, names in by 11.30 for a 12.30 start mufti dress. To enter ring Chicka 0423787325, Griffo 0413052684 or text Frank 0417698899.

Well, that's the scoop for this week. Cheers Andrew
