Kew Men's Bowling Club
Saturday and Sunday saw the Classic fours played and what a great two days of bowls it was with the weather gods being kind to us, with some wonderful games to watch it was a pleasure just to be there. 1st place went to Gary Cheers, Brian Bradley, Gary Hamilton and John O’Neill, 2nd Laurie Nichols, Paul Hodges, Morrie and John Gibbs, 3rd Frank Raczka, Steve McGregor, Rod Quirk and Mick Ashford, 4th Peter McDonald, Barrie Davies, Jim and Suzie Gaskill, 5th John Williams, Peter Cooper, Dave Turnbull and Locky Cooper.
Round 1 Richard Latta, Joel Bourke Barry Smith and David Leader, 2 Matt Carter, Jake Waterhouse, Matt Day and Nathan Lyon, 3 Bob Stuart, Rob Edwards, Barrie Isaac and Peter Griffith, 4 Jeff Wylie, Jeff Dixon, Greg Darcy and Wayne Thrussell.
Monday monthly pairs and scooting to the bank with the moola were Ian Poole and Gary Hamilton,2nd Dave Napper and Peter Laing, 3rd Kay and Ted Jobson 4th Steve McGregor and Mick the bickie eater Ashford. Round winners were Peter Hollis and Richard Latta, Trent Goffin and Troy Eames and Wendy and Barrie Isaac.
Wednesday social and picking up the cash were Keith Collins, Steve McGregor and Ian Hodgkinson, the runner up loot went to Dave Eldridge, Ian Orr and Phil Collins. Voucher winners were Ian Poole, Peter Laing, Keith Collins and Steve McGregor.
Bowlers, please note that the AGM will be held on Sunday the 6th of August starting at 10am followed by bowls then a couple of beers and finger food. All positions will become vacant, that includes pennant selectors, so if you think you can do the job get your name on a nomination form and show us what you can do to make our club stronger.
