Lake Cathie Women’s Bowling Club

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of writing over the last few months but with no bowls and not many papers in my folder so far, I only a small amount to report to you.

So, I will start with the 30th June 2020 with J Blackler and W Byers as the lucky rink winners and J Wilson and K Jobson as the runners up.

Then I have the 7th July 2020 and J Wilson, T Banks and W Sharples as the rink winners and M Dewson, E Blueming and B Ascot-Evans as the runners up.

Result for last Tuesday 21st July 2020. The rink winners were Y Howard and A Wilson, and the runners up were A Innes and S Stokmanis.

We also have round results for the Major Pairs for 2020 with J Grimshaw and P Begley defeating A Innes and S Stokmanis, Y Howard and A Wilson defeating P Sadler and J Dewson, S Malzard and V Hamilton defeating L Watson and H White, A Butlin and W Sharples defeating A Armstrong and J Tucker, and last but not least P Kelly and M Duhigg defeating M Dewson and B Roberson.

Do not forget ladies there is an AGM fast approaching and messages on the notice board to be read.

Remember with this virus anything can happen again so please check in when you can so you don’t miss when list go up for the next competitions and any round dates and times just in case as they may change etc.

Also, a reminder when you enter the club to sign in and out.

To anyone who is unwell or recovering we send you our best wishes and hope to see you all again.

Liz.

p.s This being my first report back since the new members list came out, could you all check it is right so I can safely pass on all corrections to the new Communications Officer for 2020 as I will only be here for a few more weeks as the AGM is near.

Also if I don’t get the chance, thankyou everyone for all your support over the years it was a very rewarding job but hopefully the next chapter will be fun and rewarding too as Provedore.

Liz Fuller.
