Kew Men's Bowling Club
In the major singles championship Chicka Thompson def Terry Miles, Frank Raczka def Keith Nichols, Peter Ryan def Ian Hilton, Jeff Dixon def Wayne Thrussell, Barrie Isaac def Peter Laing and in a thriller Stewart Rogan def Bob Sims with a cracking drive to put the jack in the ditch to win 31/30.
The final of the club pairs was interrupted by rain and will be completed on Sunday morning at 10 am.
All the Kew bowlers would like to send John Donald a big cheerio and hoping you are feeling better soon.
Wednesday social and skipping out the door with the cash was Adrian Hilton, Pat O’Connor and Graham Williams in the runner up slot was George Wise, Peter Ryan and Bob the hand breaker Kennett. Vouchers went to Daryle Barr, Dave Napper, James Race and Rocky Davis.
The Kew Men’s AGM will be held on Saturday the 22nd of August starting at 10am with the cashpot triples to follow. All positions are open and there are nomination forms on the board.
Friday jackpot triples and the jackpot is still in the bank and is worth $230 on the 7th of August. Rink winners were Frank Raczka, Dave Napper and Peter Laing, the runner up loot went to Adrian Hilton, Warren Barnes and Bill O’Donnell. Voucher winners were Mick Stuttard, Trevor Boyle, Ray Allan and Steve Anderson.
Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
