Report Weekending 28th April 2019.
Well Pennants are at an end already for the 2019 and we are back into the swing of things.
We are very proud to say the ladies have brought us a flag home and the Flag Presentation is on May 7th in the morning for those that wish to be there. Then if you feel like enjoying the rest of the day at the club have a game of bowls and then finish it off with the Biggest Afternoon Tea.
The Major Singles Championship are well under way for 2019 with the first round played on Tuesday 23rd April and the results were, M Dewson defeated K Deas, S Malzard defeated V Stewart, V Hamilton defeated H Millard, P Murphy defeated P Begley, R Jones defeated S Stokmanis. Then on Friday 26th April 2019 S Malzard defeated P Murphy, M Dewson defeated V Hamilton, R Jones defeated F Brassey, J Roberts defeated O Tolmic, D Fischer defeated P Kelly, A Pritchard defeated J Grimshaw.
Good luck to all the ladies in the next rounds.
Social Bowls results for Tuesday 16th April 2019 saw P Begley and S Stokmanis as the lucky rink winners and V Stewart, S Chisholm, T Aafjes / L Fuller as the runners up. On Tuesday 23th April M Dewson and A Butlin were the lucky rink winners and the runners up were V Stewart and P Kelly.
Then on Saturday 27th April, J Blackler and W Byers were the lucky rink winners and B Owens, F Brassey, L Mathews and W Foreman were the runners up.
Don’t forget there is a few ladies looking for a half a game so don’t feel you have to miss out if you feel like a whole game is too much.
Remember Dorothy announces a lot of information at our lunch breaks but just in case you missed hearing something or were away please check the boards as you will find all the information there as well.
Our poor Carnival Organiser is feeling left out as she needs a lot more entries to our upcoming carnival, so come on ladies start getting those entries in.
Make sure you check the roster for the Kitchen duty too and if you need to change or can’t make it please let Chrys know.
Reminder to check your events program as we have the Minor Pairs just around the corner as well.
