Pennants restarts this Saturday after the Easter break and the teams are as follows grade 2 at home to Port Panthers Terry Duff, Bill O’Donnell, Phil Collins and Charles Doyle. Gary Ruprecht, Dean Gemmell, Rocky Davis and Kevin Wholohan. Rob Edwards, Mick Ashford, Gary Hamilton and Barrie Isaac.
Grade 4 away to Port City Budgie Brecard, Gary Cheers, Paul Cini and Peter Griffith. Howard Burrows, Brian Charters, Terry Miles and Mark Hammond. Jeff Dixon, Ian Poole, John Gemmell and Trevor Robb.
Grade 6 at home to Comboyne Jeff Nichols, Jeff Wylie, Stuart Rogan and Wayne Thrussell. Steve Hall, George Wise, Ian McLaren and Ray Allan. Frank Raczka, Ron Hale, Chicka Thompson and Peter Laing.
Grade 7 away to North Haven Adrian Hilton, Rod Sutton, Ian Hodgkinson and Gerry Ludford. Warren Bates, Warren Barnes, Darren Darcy and Pat O’Connor. Daryle Barr, Bob Sims, Dick Davies and Ross Harris. Reserves Reggie Robb, Leslie Faulstone and Bindi Notara.
The major singles are under way with some great bowls being played the results so far Mick Ashford def Leslie Faulstone, Terry Miles def Frank Raczka, Budgie Brecard def Terry Stringer, Rocky Davis def Stewart Rogan, Bob Sims def Ian Poole and Reggie Robb def Gary Cheers.
Wednesday social and heading to the bank with his winnings was Bob Sims, the runner up loot went to George Wise, Stewart Rogan and Rocky Davis. Vouchers went to Bob Sims, Ray Elliott, Dave Jones, Rocky Davis and Peter Laing.
The finalists have been decided for the major pairs first in was Peter Griffith and Mick Stuttard who def Terry Duff and Bill O’Donnell then Brian Charters and Phil Collins def Gary Ruprecht and Barrie Isaac the final will be played on Wednesday the 24th of April starting around 12 noon.
