After all the rain we
received over the Australia weekend we were quite surprised to get the games in
on Tuesday. President Barbara welcomed 34 members and also a visitor Lorraine
Stuart. We hope you enjoyed your first game with us Lorraine.
Terry the Tarantula was on
the green again and won by Lorraine Cannon, who received a voucher.

Circuit Training will be held
each Friday morning at 10.00 weather permitting.
Next Tuesday is the start of
the District Pairs, please check to see where you are playing – the final will
be played at Westport.
We are running out of prizes
for spiders, so if anyone has any to donate they would be appreciated.
There is a new law book out,
and if you are interested in purchasing one ($9) there is a sheet on the notice
board to put your name. Judy needs to have numbers before she can place an
order.
Just a reminder about social
morning bowls. It would be appreciated if you could be at the club before 9.15
am. This would be a great help to the selectors, as they have to pay in the
green fees etc., before they can come out to play bowls.
The mixed triples on
Australia Day were obviously washed out, so a new date has been set down. It
will be on Friday 13th February 5.00pm – 7.00pm. After bowls there
will be pies/mash etc for dinner. There is a sheet on the notice board for
single entry or teams.
To any of our members or
their families who are not very well, we wish you a speedy recovery and look
forward to seeing you back at the club soon.
Names in or out of bowls or
ladies wishing to play a half game on Tuesdays only please ring the bowls
office 6583 1153 before 8.00 am.
