News from Port City

The news report for the Port City Men's BC for the week ending Sunday 4th January is now available thanks to Colin Halls.

Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or smart casual, with collared shirt, neat shorts/slacks

President Paul Brady and his committee wish all bowlers a happy and successful 2015.

As there are only two greens available at the moment please get your names in early if you wish to play social bowls during the week.

The first pennant trial for 2015 is scheduled for Saturday 17th January, with grades 5-7 (am) and grades 1-4 (pm).

Entries are now open for the club championship triples and fours.. You may enter a team or single entry.. Triples entries close 5pm Saturday 17 January, and the final will be played at 5pm Saturday 30th January. Fours entries close 5pm Saturday 7 February and the final will be played 5pm 20th February

We will be holding a bush fire appeal during next week to help the people in South Australia and Victoria. Please donate generously.

On the 14th January a representative from the oncology department will be on hand to accept the proceeds of our wrong bias tin.

Our good friend Gary Lawer has resigned from the position of bowls organizer. As we know Gary has a few health issues and we thank him for his efforts in the office and wish him well in the future. Paul Webster has accepted the position of bowls organizer, thanks Paul.
