Last Thursday the semi finals
of the Minor Singles were played and Mary Bennett def Wendy Kennedy and Barbara
Standen def Lorraine Cannon.
Unfortunately bad weather
forced the cancellation of social bowls on Tuesday, but the championship games
were played.
The final of the minor
singles was played and Mary Bennett def Barbara Standen. Congratulations Mary
and well done Barbara on reaching the final. It was a very good game, both playing
some very good bowls.
There were three games of
Consistency Singles played and Karen McFarlane def Wendy Kennedy – Barbara
Owens def Wendy Elliott - Hazel Durrant def Eveline Ramsay – Barbara Standen
WOF Joan Bird and Wendy Kennedy WOF Barbara Barrett.
Circuit Training with Shirley
and Margaret is continuing on Friday mornings 10.00 am start weather
permitting.
The Pennant list will be
taken down next week.
The District Championship
Entry forms for 2015 are on the board.
Encouragement Day is on 25th
November – if you would like to play and haven’t got a team see Carol Bowman
and she will make every effort to help you make up a team.
Melbourne Cup time again!
Tuesday 4th November - Men’s Ladies or mixed triples, $20 per
person. One game of 18 ends and there will be champagne on the green, 2 course
lunch and a fashion parade.
To any of our members or
their families who are not very well, we wish you a speedy recovery and look
forward to seeing you back at the club soon.
Names in or out of bowls or
