We held our Christmas Party and Break-up Day on Tuesday 10th December. Despite predictions of showers and heat, the day turned out very well and we managed to play our games. Everyone looked very festive in their Christmas gear and it was great to see the camaraderie on the greens.

Port City Men's Bowls Presentation Day

Presentation Day at Port City Men’s Bowling Club was held to-day and the star of the show was youngster 15 years old Callum Murray. He was in teams who won the Major Triples, Major Fours, and the Major/Minor Pairs. He was also in the team that were runners up in the Mixed Fours. He also represented Port City in The Fountain of The Mountain Triples at Kempsey Heights and was Runner-up. He also represented Port City in the 2013 Pennants. To top off his day he won the Bowler of the Year for 2013.
Club man of the year was Terry Schollum. Congratulations to both of you and to all the winners for 2013.

ENCOURAGEMENT DAY

On Tuesday 26th November we held our Encouragement Day for bowlers who have been playing for less than 5 years. There were 28 teams entered for this event from the following clubs. Forster, Tuncurry, Kew, Taree Railway, Blackhead, Old Bar, South West Rocks, Kempsey Heights, Wingham, Lake Cathie, Coffs Ex Services, Westport, North Haven and Port City. Results as follows:–

Entries are now open for the popular $5,400 Port City Men's Prestige Pairs to be played from Wednesday 16th July - Friday 18th July 2014.

A general meeting of the LNC District Umpires was held today at the Port Panthers BC. With a good turnout of umpires from the district it will help ensure all clubs are kept up-to-date on officiating matters.
