Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 16th September.

Tuesday , Wednesday & Thursday morning saw the Combined High Schools v NSW Juniors with the winners being for the 4^th time in a row Combined High Schools .The Junior Singles was won by the local boy Jai Whelan.

Wednesday pm :- 90 Bowlers with the day winners :- $15 Barry Smith , Bob Kemp & Brian Sharman.$10 Mark Hookham , Jim O’Brien & Joe Piola .

Thursday am :-$10 Sue Smith & Rosemary Roach  $7 Judy Brady & Barbara Barrett .Mixed Pairs Championships :- Carol White & Allan White def Morgan Solman-Stewart & Frank Smith .

Thursday pm :- 76 bowlers played in warm windy conditions with the day winners being :- $15 Wayne (big ears) Bales & Bob Counsell .  $10 Bob Pritchard & Denny McAuliffe .The Jackpot of $487 was not  won by Rob (dexter) Bradbury & Geoff Worley.Next week the jackpot will be $500 plus.

Friday am :- Mixed Pairs Championships :- Shirley Devine & Garry Williams def Jenny Wallis & John Rossiter .

Friday pm :-68 Bowlers had a game of bowls on this very windy day with the day winners being :- $15 Ron Osborn & Warren Jamison $10 Bill Grant & Brian Crewe.The jackpot of $600 was not won by Bill Grant & Brian Crewe.Next week the jackpot $600.00 .

Saturday am :-$10 Joy Barry , Joan Bird & Fay Martin  $7 Marion Miller , Beth Hicks & Hazel Durrant .

Saturday pm :-$15 Greg Keft & Geoff Worley $10 Dennis Erickson , Jim Smith & Les Scholz .The Jackpot of $180 was not won by Dennis Erickson , Jim Smith & Les Scholz .

Sunday pm :-66 Players with the day winners $15 Noelene Williams , Fred Williams  &  Martin Wallis $10 Pamela Ditchfield , Gayle Carmody  &  Kevin Carmody  $7 Anne Connell , Graham Connell & Nev Schwartz .
