Although small in number the social games on
Tuesday were very enjoyable and we welcomed Jenny Devitt back after a long
absence. Two Club Major Triples games were played - Beth Schubert def Fay
Martin and Lyn Thompson def Debbie Amor. Thank you to Judy Scholz for umpiring.
It was announced that our girls were winners in the Regional Play - offs at
Taree for the Open Fours - Margaret Walsh (skip), Karen McFarlane, Shirley
Devine, Jenny Wallis and the Senior Fours - Jennifer Munson (skip), Norma
Schwartz, Adriana Cutler, and Rhonda Evans and now proceed to play in the State
final at Tuncurry in October.

We welcomed the non playing members for our normal
morning tea each month and the girls had a lovely chat and cuppa - Shirley
Chapman, Jan Goldman, Karen and Colleen Slater, Val Geary, Joy Surrey, Irene
Turner, Muriel Whitbourne, Beryl Young, Rosemary Aylett were enjoying the
company although, sadly, our Patron Lorna Whitehead was unable to come due to
ill health.
We send our deepest sympathy to Mary Goodall on the
passing of Tony - you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Monday next 16th is our AGM 9.00am start, please try to attend.
Tuesday next is the commencement of the Major/Minor
Pairs - check the board to see when you are to play.
To any of our members who have been in hospital or
having health problems we wish you a good recovery to better health.
