Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report

Port City Men's Bowling Club news letter for the week ending Sunday 22nd July.

Wednesday pm :- $10 D.Robinson , L.Grambau and R.Bowman  $7  E.Rowsell and A.White .

Thursday am :- $10  D.Gudgeon , L.Bishell  and B.Schubert  $7  B.Harvey  and  R.White.
Thursday pm :- 64 Bowlers played in warm conditions with the day winners being :- $10  B.Collis and W. Kempster  $7  R.Holihan  and  K.Ison ,The Jackpot of $144 was won by M.Glasse and  Barry Smith

Major / Minor Pairs :- K.Ashdown and F.Smith def. B.Jux and T.Owens ,M.Wallis and K.Hall def G.Lawer and G.Eyles .

Friday pm :- $10 S.McAdam and N.Venlinden (visitors from Victoria) $7 S.Harris and T.Hodge , The Jackpot of  $367  was not won by P.Gilligan and D.McAuliffe .

Saturday  saw the AGM for the Men’s Bowling Club ( with the retirement of President Reg Lucas after 8 years ) the results of the elections are as follows :-  President : Paul Brady ,Senior Vice President : Garry Williams ,Vice President : Terry Schollum :Treasurer : Terry Mawer , Secretary: David Lomas ,Bowls Organiser: Trevor Scholz ,Committee : Denis Erickson ,Bruce Thompson and Tom Cornforth ,Welfare: Tom Cornforth ,Selectors: Trevor Scholz , Keith Ashdown , Tom Cornforth and John Faddy .

Sunday pm :- 76 Players with a lot of visitors in overcast conditions ,The jackpot of $180 was won by S.Saunders , M.Glasse and Barry Smith . Other winners were all  $10 vouchers were :- J.Edwards , I.McAdans ,J.Barry , R.Holihan , B.Hall , N.Schwartz , R.Carkeek , J.Lamb , A.Connell , C.Blevins , B.Crutcher , E.Riedel , G.Hollis , B.Hall , J.Keene , J.Drewsen , E.Eames , J.Bird , M.Edwards , M.McCrow. Raffle 1st J.Keene  2nd B.Pritchard  3rd G.Hollis .Next Week play as you like
