David Holt (Cabramatta) Two Time Runner-Up Looking for his First Win
The 31st staging of the Lake Cathie Bowling Club's Big Bowl Prestige Singles is not far away. Next Monday the 19th March the club will host its biggest event and organisers have assembled another quality field of 24 players from around the state.
Heading the list of elite bowlers is Australian representative Shane Garvey who is aiming to win his fifth Big Bowls title. But in front of him are competition heavyweights Wayne Turley and St. John's Park member Mathew Pieterson.
Local bowlers out to stop the visitors are Lake Cathie Club champion Des Hancock, Kew bowlers Alan Wares and Terry Miles, Westport's Peter Stockham Greg Brims and Mark Prior, Port City's Ian Binder and North Haven's Shane Globits.
The first games start just after 8:30 am next Monday morning and the finals will be played on Wednesday afternoon.
