Kew Men's Bowling Club

The final of the major pairs was played on Saturday afternoon Gary the machine Hamilton and Charles Doyle were far to good for Brian Charters and Phil Collins with the machine putting on a master class display of bowls well supported by Charles they proved why they represent zone. Congratulations Gary and Charles well deserved winners.

The major singles 1st round has begun with Peter Griffith just getting up over Daryle Barr and Barrie Isaac def Jeff Wylie. The first round of the singles has to be played by Sunday the 20th of March.

Monday the 21st of March Allan Starrett the coach of the NSW arm bowling side will be at the club from 10am to give the Kew arm bowlers a coaching lesson Allan has been the Woomera’s coach for some years and should be able to help with all aspects of arm bowling.

Monday Monthly Pairs will be on again on the 4th of April 9am start, grab a mate and come out to the friendly club and enjoy a day on the greens.

Friday jackpot triples and three very happy lads picked up $362 when they won the jackpot Frank Raczka, Chicka Thompson and Mick Stuttard where the lucky bowlers. Vouchers went to Gary Hamilton, Dean Gemmell, Steve McGregor and Dave Napper.

Wednesday social and picking up the loot were Jenny Wellard, Kim Thompson, Doreen Barr and Leonie Murphy, the runner up cash was won by Stewart Wellard, Daryle Barr, Ian Poole and Barrie Isaac. Vouchers went to Rob Tucker, Frank Raczka, Phil Collins, Charles Doyle, Jeff Nichols, Ian Hodgkinson and Steve Hall.

Bowls this week Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
