Kew Men's Bowling Club

The Memorial Day for passed members featuring the Ken Kinman shield was a great success on Saturday with 22 teams playing for the great prize money on offer and picking up the winner’s check were Wendell Scott, Chicka Thompson and Gary the machine Hamilton, 2nd Ian Hodgkinson, Mick Stuttard and Charles Doyle, 3rd Rob Dwyer, Gary Ruprecht and Barrie Isaac and 4th Jenny Wellard, Stewart Wellard and Peter Ryan.

Charles Doyle showed his versatility becoming the auctioneer for the Lighting Ridge Shirt and the load of wood entertaining the crowd with his banter.

Major singles and Charles Doyle def Peter Laing, and Bill Bailey def Mark Hammond and Dave Napper def Trevor Robb.

Monday monthly pairs are on the 5th of July, 9am start uniform dress men, women or mixed all are welcome come on out to the friendly club and enjoy a day on the greens.

Wednesday social and Bill Bailey was the lucky winner with John Hilton, Ron Hale and Adrian Hilton picking up the runner up prize. Vouchers went to Dave Napper, Jim Hopcroft, Viv Gunter, Cliff Kerr, Dave Adderson and Davey Jones.

The AGM will be held on the 7th of August where all positions will be vacant, have a good think about putting your hand up for any of the positions.

The club triples draw will be on the board, please check when and who you are playing.

Bowls this week Wednesday social and Friday jackpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
