The final of the mixed pairs was played on Sunday morning Jenny Wellard and Terry Miles played Maree and Paul Cini and what a cracker of a game it was with both teams playing first class bowls but there could only be one winner and Jenny and Terry taking the trophy over Maree and Paul. It was a great game to watch and was appreciated by the spectators. Congratulations to both teams for putting a top game and being played in the right spirit.

It was a bit damp for a game of bowls on Saturday before we had our Christmas party and presentation to the winners of the club championships all in all it was great afternoon with the special presentation of the Ian Hilton perpetual minor singles championship shield it was presented to his father John and brother Adrian with Ian’s name as the first winner. Ian passed away suddenly last month and will always be remembered as the gentle gentleman.

From President Barrie and the committee, we wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy, safe and prosperous New year. Cheers beers and reindeers everyone.

Monday monthly pairs and picking up the cash were Ross Hansford and Agro, 2nd Gary the machine Hamilton and Charles Doyle, 3rd Daryle Barr and Wayne Thrussell and 4th Jim Gaskill and Barry Roach. The jackpot will be worth $400 on Monday the 4th of January 2021.

Wednesday social and scooting out the door to see Santa were Mick Bate, Steve McGregor and Ian Poole, Frank Raczka and Ian Hodgkinson scooped the runner up dosh. Voucher winners were Gary Hamilton, Ray Elliott, Steve Anderson, Warren Bates and Frosty.

There will be no bowls on Wednesday due to Dick Davies funeral that will starting at 11am on Wednesday at his house in Bay St Dunbogan all bowlers are asked to wear their uniform no Kooka shirts please.

Saturday bowls names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
