Kew Men's Bowling Club

The classic triples was again a great success with 34 teams taking part a big thank you to our sponsor’s for making it possible to have these tournaments, also thank you to our greenkeepers, Wendell and his staff behind the bar and Keven and his crew in the kitchen for our lunches, Wendy and Doreen for all their work, the players who travel from near and far and last but not least Barrie and the committee for all the work that goes into making the weekend happen. Winning is what we all try to do and Bill O’Donnell, Gary Hamilton and Mick Stuttard did just that, in second spot another Kew team Ian Poole, Dave Napper and Peter Laing, third spot went to Mal Isaac, Les Allport and Graham Conen, 4th Ingo Model, Gary Douglas and Barrie Isaac and 5th Laura Cooper, Sandra Gill and Gwen Saunders. Congratulations to all winners and we hope to see you all back next year.

Viv Gunter and Charles Doyle def Steve McGregor and Mick Stuttard in the semi-final of the major minor pairs played on Wednesday and will now play Mick White and Brian Charters in the final to be played at 12.00 on Thursday the 26th of November.

The club Christmas party and presentation day will be held on the 12th of December starting at 9am with a game of bowls then lunch and presentation of awards for this year it will be bowlers only please put your name on the list on the board if you want to go.

Wednesday social and scooting out the door with the loot were George Wise, Dave Jones and Reggie Robb, in the runner up spot were Bob Sims, Steve Anderson and Mark Hammond. Vouchers went to Dave Jones, Mark Hammond, Chicka Thompson and Ron Hale.

The Christmas party and presentation day will be held on Saturday the 12th of December starting at 9am with a game of bowls then a meal and presentations to follow please put your name on the sheet on the board if intending to be there.

Wednesday Social and Friday jackpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
