Kew Men's Bowling Club

The final of the club triples was played on Sunday afternoon Bill O’Donnell, Gary Hamilton and Mick Stuttard played very good bowls to defeat Dean Gemmell, Trevor Robb and Terry Miles, Gary the machine Hamilton was the standout player who consistently turned one down into one up with precision bowling. Great game to watch, well done to all players.

The minor singles are well underway with 10 games being played Peter Laing def Warren Bates, Steve McGregor def Darren Darcy, Jeff Dixon def Rod Sutton, Keith Nichols def Frank Raczka, Viv Gunter def Bindi Notara, Wayne Thrussell def Chicka Thompson, Ted Wilson def Leslie Faulstone, Adrian Hilton def John Smith, Stewart Rogan def Ian Hodgkinson and Dave Jones def Keith Nichols.

Monday monthly pairs was a great success with 38 teams taking part maybe it was the $1,000 jackpot that had to go off and it did with the first draw, you needed the same number of ends for the 3 games as the first marble drawn number 11 came out and a cheer went up we had a winner Viv Gunter and Ray Allan did not have a great day on the green but with pockets full they were very happy chappies. Winning the day was Ross Langford and Argro, 2nd Les Allport and Graham Conen, 3rd Denis Squires and Harvey Phillips and 4th place went to Peter Griffith and Mark Hammond.

Saturday cashpot triples and picking up the loot were Graeme Martin, Viv Gunter and Jeff Nichols, 2nd spot went to Kim Thompson, Chicka Thompson and Bob Sims and 3rd place Bill O’Donnell, Reggie Robb and Ray Allan. Voucher winners were Peter Griffith, Chicka Thompson, Daryle Barr and Mick the bickie eater Ashford.

Bowles this week Wednesday social and Friday jackpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti Dress all welcome.
