"Tuesday, July 26, was a big day for Port City at Kempsey Heights Bowling Club winning both the Open & Seniors Pairs Championships. CONGRATULATIONS.
Lynne Thompson (Skip) and Carol White won the Region 2 Open Pairs Championships defeating Kempsey Heights 27-9.
Jennifer Munson (Skip) and Rhonda Evans in the morning defeated South West Rocks, trailing 4-15 after 14 ends, clawing their way back to 15 all at 18 ends, having to play an extra end, winning 17-15.
The afternoon game was a close one also defeating Tuncurry Forster Sports Club 17-13, taking out the Senior Pairs Championships.
We wish the girls good luck and good bowling when they go to Tuncurry Bowling Club on October 28-29 for the State playoffs."
