District Singles Championships

HHDWBA Singles Champion Lyn Thompson (Port City)

 

Congratulations to Lyn Thompson for her win in the recent District Singles Championship.  Although numbers were down slightly, the standard of bowling was outstanding.  Conducted over three days at Port City, Hibbard Sports and the Westport Club, spectators were given a wonderful display of draw bowling.

Lyn Thompson won her semi-final over Debbie Amor (Port City), and in the other semi-final Jennifer Munson (Port City) won out over Carol Owen (Westport Club) 25-24.

In the Final, Lyn played Jennifer Munson in a good match, with lovely bowling.  Lyn Thompson continued on with another outstanding display to take out the Final.

The Regional play-offs begin this week, and carry through until 1^st September.  We wish all our District Championship winners good luck and good bowling.
