"Step Over the Line ............."

The incident in Bendigo that resulted in players being banned from the greens (see previous post) has encouraged a reader of the SMH to make the following comment. Enough said !!

"Blood and no guts on the bowling green."

"Speaking as one long qualified by age to join the ranks of old farts and white leghorns, I must say I was dismayed to read your report of blood on the bowling green (Bowls biffo leads to hefty bans", March 25). It was bad enough that some players had engaged in the undignified practice of high fives but for this blot on the venerable game to have led to blows is beyond the pale." Garth Clarke, North Sydney.
