Kew Men's Bowling Club   

Saturday morning saw the final of the mixed pairs and a cracker of a game it was. Jean Donald and Peter Laing played Sue Hardwick and Wayne Thrussell but there can only be one winner Jean who was player of the match and Peter were just a bit too good for Sue and Wayne. Congratulations to the four of you for making the final.

Sunday morning the semi-finals of the fours was played in near perfect conditions in our game Rocky’s lads kicked away to a commanding lead, but John’s boys were up to the task and on the 21st end the score was 18 all an extra end was played that resulted in one shot to Rocky’s lads so congratulations Rocky’s lads all the best in the final. In the other game Peter Laing’s team were a bit too good for Rob Edwards team.

Friday jackpot triples and the jackpot was not won and is $480 on the 30th of June. Rink winners Denis Squires, Brett Irwin and Ian Orr, the runner up spot went to Peter Mauger, Keith Collins and Viv Gunter. Voucher winners were John Gemmell, Gary Ruprecht, Ian Hodgkinson and Peter Laing.

Wednesday social and picking up the cash were Adrian Hilton and Ian Poole, the runner up loot went to Frosty, Brett Erwin and John O’Neill. Voucher winners were Andrew Richards, John O’Neill, Peter Griffith, Barrie Isaac and Frosty.

There is an entry sheet on the board for the club major pairs.

The Monday monthly pairs are on the 3rd of July grab a mate and have a game at the friendly club.

An early reminder our Classic Fours will be held on the 8th and 9th of July good prizemoney on offer grab a couple of mates and try your luck at the friendly club.

Bowls this week Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
