Member’s Report w/e Sunday December 4th

Hello Ladies,

Tuesday was our last Trade Table for 2022 and didn't they make it a good one!? The grand total raised was a whopping $955, proof that everyone outdid themselves. Thank you to the generosity of the donors, the buyers and the Trade Table Team for putting on such a successful day.

Social Bowls
Lucky Rink winners were Marilyn Dewson, Barbie Roberson and Jenny Hayward.
Runners Up were Anna Innes, Olwen Holland and Trish Banks.

Before bowls on Tuesday 6th, will be the unfurling of the flag and its presentation to the Grade 2 Pennant team. Please come along to show your support for our Champions as we form a guard of honour to celebrate them. Ceremony at 9:00am prior to bowls.

The Regional Triples play-off is on this Thursday 8th, at North Haven between CLC's Di Fischer, Jenny Roberts and Sue Wood and Foster's Sarah Boddington, Joan Thomas and Colleen Starr. Should be a great match if you can get there to support them. Also playing are PMC's Jan Opitz, Robyn Hehir and Gerry Lavender versus Tuncurry Beach team.

The list is on the board for the Open Gender Pennant games, which will be played every Saturday afternoon starting February 25th to May 6th (except Easter Saturday April 8th)

Our CLC AGM is on at 10:00am December 18th, and Jay Porter will be presenting an update on the amalgamation.

OK, our Xmas Breakup and Presentation Day is Tuesday 13th. Green fees will be $10 and lunch $20.
Di Spinks is collecting the lunch money which should be paid asap.
We are still taking your donated goodies for the Xmas Raffle Hampers too.

During our break, bowls will be played on Saturday afternoons, so if interested in a game put your names on the Men's List.

Following is the schedule for bowls week ending Sunday, December 11th:

Joke of the Week
A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.

The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.

For a second, everything was quiet in the cab. Then the driver said, "Look, mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!"

The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."

The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver — I've been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years."

Remember to check the notice boards for rosters, draws, nomination forms and general information.

As always our thoughts and best wishes go out to anyone who is unwell or recovering, we hope to see you back soon.
