Minor Singles C/Ship - Semi Finals
June Wilson defeated Mary Simmonds and Veronica Stewart defeated Anne Armstrong. Congratulations ladies and thanks to the umpire, measurer and markers.
The final between June and Veronica will be played on Saturday January 30, 2021 and should be a great game.
District 2 Bowl Triples
Thursday, January 21, 2021
Wendy Byers, Di Fischer and Anne Wilson played through to the semi finals to take on Sue Wood and her team at North Haven, but unfortunately went down by one shot in a very tight game. In the other game Port City defeated Wauchope. The final was then between the two Port teams with Sue Wood’s team taking out the day. Thanks to the great support from the Cathie Cheerleaders , it is wonderful to see so many ladies supporting our girls in their games. In a little postscript I just wanted to congratulate all the girls, but to Di Fischer, who played a fantastic game, well done you!
This Tuesday is Australia Day and a fun morning of bowls is planned. Music on the greens, dress up in your true blue clobber and a fair dinkum lunch will set the scene for a fun day. Tags in as usual and if you would like a pie and/or a sausage roll, put your name on the list. Food can also be order from the Bistro.

Norma Cowper
Some great news received this week. Norma, who is a past President has been honoured with an O.A.M. for her hard work with Legacy and the RSL. Norma, who joined Lake Cathie Women’s Bowling Club in June 1977, retired in 2010.
During this time she acted as Publicity Officer from July 1992 - June 1997, was a Committee member from 1997-1998, and Vice President from 1999 - 2002. She then was President for 3 years from 2002-2005.
Norma will be joining us at the Golden Girls morning tea this week and I’m sure we all join in with President Anne in congratulating her for this wonderful achievement.
Sending our best wishes to all who are unwell or recuperating, hope to see you back soon.
