The Presidents challenge will be played the 23rd of February and all hands on deck will be needed this game will be against North Haven and is hoped to be an annual event if you see the Wizard tell him he is required to play as it is not a pennant trial.
Friday’s jackpot stays in the hands of Treasure Tony the next jackpot will be $376 on the 8th of February rink winners were Reggie Robb, Trevor Robb and Dean Gemmell the runner up loot went to Steve McGregor, Frank Raczka and Terry Stringer. Vouchers went to Steve McGregor, Billy O, John Gemmell and the retired bushman Darren Darcy.
There is an entry sheet on the board for the club pairs and will close on the 9th of February.
Club fours one game played Wednesday Gary Ruprecht, Budgie Brecard, Trevor Robb and Dean Gemmell def Frank Raczka, Rod Sutton, Chicka Thompson and Wayne Thrussell.
Wednesday social and out the door with the loot went Warren Bates, John Gemmell and Pat O’Connor, taking home the runner up prize was Bob Sims, Frosty and Rob Edwards. Voucher winners were Wayne Thrussell, Steve Hall, Dave Napper and Chicka Thompson.
Kew Country Club Memorial Bowls Day will be held on Saturday the 16th of February with $1,200 in prize money featuring the Ken Kinman Shield and the Hancox/Jack shootout $2 entry into the shootout with the winner to take the $200 first prize. Entry fee for the day is $60 per team which includes lunch. Two games of 3 bowl triples 15 ends starting at 9am. Prize money 1st $600, 2nd $300, 3rd $150, 4th $90 there will also a lucky draw for $60. Entry’s close Saturday the 9th of February. This event is open to all clubs.
Monday monthly pairs will be on February the 4th this event is open to men, women and mixed start time 9am come on out to the friendly club and enjoy a day on the greens.
Wednesday social starts at 9am names in Tuesday by 6pm. Saturday cashpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
