Men's State Triples - Zone 14 Finals

The Zone 14 Men's State Triples are in progress with play this last week end.

In the Northern Section (MNC) the team from Urunga, Graham Horne (skip), Athol Grogan & Eric Whittaker took out the final to progress to the Zone finals.

In the Southern Section (LNC) the final will be played on Saturday 4th June at South West Rocks with Chris Balaam and team (North Haven) vs. Danny Barrett and team (Port City).

Women's State Carnival Knockout Rounds

The knockout rounds of the Women's State Carnival commenced today and will conclude tomorrow, Friday 27th May, with the semi finals and final at Port City.

State Grade 1 Pennant Program


Conference post section play arrangements are in progress for the State Grade 1 Pennant to decide the state finalists.

Zone 14 teams Park Beach and Westport are included in the Northern Conference Northern #2 and #3 respectively.

NSW Senior State Side

"The NSW State Selection Committee has announced the players who have been chosen to participate in a trial for selection in the NSW Senior State Side, to be held at Cabramatta BC on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 July 2016."

Zone 14 players include Michael Howard (South West Rocks) and Ken Paulsen (Port City).

Men's Pennant Play

Pennant Play at Westport
Men's Pennant in the LNC area continued today. In Grade 1 the final round 14 of sectional play was completed while Grades 2 - 7 contested the Zone 14 finals. Detailed scoring will be available as follows:

Grade 1: View on the Bowls NSW site or use the link on the right. Zone 14 teams are included in Northern Section 4 and Sections 5 & 6 Combined.
The 1st & 2nd teams in sections 5&6 progress to the Conference post sectional play.

Men's Pennant Sat. 21st

The Zone 14 finals for grades 2 to 7 will be held this Saturday 21st May at various locations in the MNC & LNC. Note the starting time for all games is 12:00 noon.

Winners of each grade will then progress to the State finals to be held from Saturday 30th July - Monday 1 August, 2016. Venues and links to the draw are available on the Bowls NSW web site.

In grade 1 the final round in the Northern Section 5 & 6 will be played tomorrow, Saturday 21st. Port City play Westport, at Westport at 1:00 pm, to decide who will play Tuncurry in post sectional play. Results will be available on the Bowls NSW site.

LNC Sectional Playoff at Hibbard

The Grade 7 Men's Pennant sectional playoff for grade 7 was held today at Hibbard. Kempsey Heights defeated Port City to progress to the Zone finals.

Men's Pennant in the LNC area continued today. Grade 1 in the Northern Conference played round 12 while Grades 2 - 7 contested the final round 10. Detailed scoring will be available as follows:

Grades 2 - 7: Visit the Zone 14 web site and follow the links under "Pennant" for results in the MNC & LNC. If points are equal after the final round in sectional play the team with the highest margin shall be the winner.

Women's State Carnival

 
The Women's Bowls NSW BCiB State Carnival will be held this year in the Hasting Haven area with play at Port City (host club), Westport, Hibbard, Wauchope, Lake Cathie, North Haven & Kew.
 
The carnival commences on Monday 23rd with finals on Friday 27th May.
